Just
when we thought we had all of the bases covered, along comes
MIRT. MIRT is a knock-off of the 3M and Tomar emitters
that first responders have used for over three decades to
reduce their response times by having the ability to change
traffic signals in their favor when running Code 2 or Code
3. Now a company is offering such an emitter to the
general public. This means that anyone can now take
over the control of traffic signals at major intersections
and create instant gridlock in any major city in the United
States.
MIRT could be used
by fleeing bank robbers to facilitate their escape.
Worst of all, terrorists could use it to block all of the
possible routes for emergency vehicles to reach the scene of
a disaster of their own making.
Fortunately,
EVA is ready to address this threat to our national
security. Without any modification, EVA will detect
the illegal use of the MIRT device. In the hands of
law enforcement officers, they will be able to detect MIRT
emitters when they are used and apprehend the operators of
these devices.
At least three
states are already considering legislation to make the sale
and use of MIRT illegal, and law enforcement is going to
need a tool to enforce these new laws. EVA is the only
device, patented, and ready for sale today to address this
threat. It is essential that we get EVA units into the
hands of law enforcement officers as soon as possible,
before terrorists and other ill doers put MIRT to use for
their own evil ends.
EVA
units will be available for shipping to law enforcement
agencies in the first quarter of 2004.
